Answers: It depends what you need it for...
380 lines is worse than analog TV, but it is satisfactory to identify certain shapes and face if they are close (within about 5 feet) to the camera.
2 Lux low-light is pretty well-mannered. My security cams use infrared emitters for visibility contained by complete darkness.
