What camcorders enjoy similar competence to a sony vx1000? any?

Answers: That is a standard definition camera. Others in like category (though some people will argue the point) are the Canon GL2, I don`t know even XL2 (it is much better than the VX1000)... and maybe even the Panasonic DVX100 (not the A or B)...
