How can I convert camcorder VRO Files into a format I can cut on my computer?

I have a Panasonic digital video camera. I don't know how to gag the file. My computer doesn't friendly the VRO files. Is there a free conversion program available. It's for a project that I enjoy due tomorrow. I'm desperate! *sob*

Answers:    You are using a DVD based camcorder.

If your computer have a drawer loading DVD optical drive, you can rip the DVD... You will need ISOBuster and HandBrake.

If your computer have a slot loading DVD optical drive, DO NOT put a minidisc in nearby - you will break the drive and scratch the disc. You will necessitate to get an analog/digital bridge (Pinnacle Dazzle if you lone have USB; Canopus is you enjoy firewire) and use the AV cable that came near the camcorder. This option will not resolve the problem surrounded by time for your project.

If you just get the camera, take it wager on for a refund and replace it beside either a miniDV cassette based camcorder or frozen drive based camcorder.

Even if you procure the video off that DVD and into your computer, the feature will be bad. This is the camcorder's failing - not your computer. DVD based camcorders be a good theory - but the implementation be terrible. They should never hold been released for Dutch auction.
