I want to get that one. i've be using pinnacle studios to edit my Mini-DVs. If i upgrade to this HD camcorder, which uses AVCHD, will anything alteration besides how i upload? I will mostly be using the SD function not the mini-dvd function. i just drag the directory off the SD card and it'll permit me edit similar to a mini-dv tape? THANKS
Answers: an upgrade is an ironic occupancy when it comes to hard drive cameras compared to mini dv.
did you know that a easier said than done drive cam has poorer photo quality compared to mini dv? it's substantially lower.
also, if you hold a problem with your HDD what do you do? you hold to get the contraption serviced whereas with a cassette - just put a up to date one in and away you budge.
avchd is a nightmare to work with unless you own the right gear which means stuffing around like mad.
you may want to rethink mini dv and go near a HD cam that suits mini dv format. here is why:
- better resolution and able to story standard AND high definition.
- better archiving.
- cheaper to use and run.
suggest it over. hope it helps.
