Hi, I'm looking at buying a video camera for youtube videos. (Rubik's cube tutorials, blogs, guitar covers, ect...)
I'm looking to spend max $200, I'm on a pretty tight budget, though I might be capable of throw in another $50 if it'd REALLY craft a big difference. I'd like something that plugs into my computer near a USB connection or memory card, because as of presently I don't have a Fire Wire card/cable.
I'm looking at the Flip, it's $100, It's get 1GB of memory, which is more than plenty for the Youtube 10 minute limit. Does anyone enjoy any experience with the Flip? How's the nouns quality? Would you recommend it?
The solely thing I don't resembling about it is that it's darn small, and I've other been sorta "small-camera-phobic " and I approaching something to hold on too that's not going to be blurring out with the slightest movement.
So, yeah, any recommendations/tips would be great.
Thanks
Answers: Good kismet the 'flip' won't do what you are looking for. May be grainy, gittery and would not recommend it.
Look for a "real" video camera that uses MiniDV tape. You can likely find a cheap-o in your range. You will also own to have a firewire card, but those are dirt cheap and a breeze to install.
Going this route open up so many opportunity, otherwise, just use the video cam on your cell phone.as that is to say likely the standard you woud see using a cheap 'digital'/flash based video recorder.
Good Luck
