I have a Sony camcorder - 560xdigital zoom,. Old (yes resembling me) oap and am finding it too heavy to button as i do a lot of movie work for our dog club. and also the zoom function have stopped zooming! I want a camcorder that is to say multi functional, dvd, (i do not have anywhere to put a small card into) simply the dvd into my tower. Price range l50-180ish

look here http://www.taffly.com/ I'm not sure what you connote by "multi-functional" - stills and video? I'm not sure what you mean by a "small card" any - do you mean there's no space within your PC to add something similar to a firewire card, or are you talking in the region of memory cards?
I'm reluctant to recommend any DVD camcorder as they're more trouble than they're worth, but the link is for Jessops' camcorders smaller amount than 200. You need to try a camcorder for yourself since buying it - regardless of the technical specs, oodles of which are meaningless (like digital zoom!!), it has to be as intuitive as possible and have a feeling "right".
BTW, our camcorders may be "old", but we are "mature"!
