How does double exposure work on Nikon D80? So I hear people discussion about the double exposure

So I hear people discussion about the double exposure qualifications of the Nikon D80. Are they talking roughly image overlay within the retouch menu, or is there a simpler style? If so, how does it work?

Thanks!

A double exposure is taking two metaphors on one frame. You might take a photo of an entire flowerbed and afterwards one close-up of an individual flower. This would require a -1EV exposure compensation - you have to calculatedly under-expose both exposures by one stop to get a correct exposure.

Go to the adorama.com home page and click on AIRC (Adorama Imaging Resource Center) and next on SFX - Special Effects Photography. You'll find several articles and examples of double and multiple exposure photography.

My flickr account is drifter45h and I enjoy several examples of double and multiple exposure images. Page 84-85 in the user instruction book.
I have too disagree beside V2K1 it would be easier to do double exposure in camera most of the time. Example this symbol I ( the person surrounded by the photo) stood for one exposure then moved and took another far simpler later it would be to do it in Photoshop.

Actually for the d80 a moment ago go to the shooting menu system and put multiple exposure to on. The subsequent two pictures you take will form one photo. no need to us photoshop or anything. hope this help
With the advent of digital symbol editing, in-camera double exposure is obsolete.

Take two shots and vein them in Photoshop, Gimp or any other correct editing program.

You'll have various more options and choices as to the final results.
