Thinking about getting one? Any reccomendations on which model is obedient?

Olympus point and shoot cameras use an xD card. That's plea enough to avoid them. They are slower and more expensive than SD, CF, etc. Do some research at http://www.dpreview.com/.
They are ok for your every day point and shoot pocket camera. If you are getting something serious, after look elsewhere. I had a Olympus camera, one of the ancient school picture type, and I liked it. It worked great, pictures be pretty good and i have no complaints.

I now own a Canon SD500 and I feel the Canons are pretty much the best bet when it comes to digital handheld point and clicks. And they are pretty much same price. You can read any reviews as far as best picture quality, etc. and Canons are right up at hand with best or close at hand best. They cost a bit more but if you find the right deals, they can be bought for CHEAP.

Here's one for the Canon SD750 for $150. That's a freaking steal. 7.1 mp near rechargeable li-ion battery, 12x zoom, video camera mode, for $150. I'd step with this unless you get something better in mind. As you may have notice, all camera companies variety different models of digital cameras .. some models are better than others.

A model number will help us make available you a better answer.
