Answers: Do you want film or digital? You can probably pick up used picture movie cameras from rental houses for a lot smaller quantity than most other cameras, but you'll have to promise with thousands of dollars contained by film, processing and mastering costs.
If you move about the digital route, a good 3-CCD camera - say-so, the Canon XL2 for standard definition, or the XH A1 for high-def - will run you anywhere from $3,000-$5,000 and upwards.
Either way, the camera alone won't get done the look - you'll need lighting, reflectors, nouns equipment, you name it. Once you put in it all up, it's probably a better conception to plan out your shoot very particularly, then rent everything from a through rental house in your nouns. It'll be less expensive, especially if you can budget your time exactly.
