Nikon D40x Lenses? Best for concerts? I need a lens that would transport high element

I need a lens that would transport high element shots for concert venues. The lighting contained by venues is usually really poor - so i'd approaching something that could make up for adjectives of that, and still have clear, focused, biddable shots.
Any suggestions?
Price is not an issue, though cheap would be nice?
Thanks.

The lens you'll requirement will be the lens with big f-stop, let's say-so 2.8, plus VR ones, 17-55 for the wide, 70-200 for the zoom, and if the hurricane lantern is enough, i consider the 18-200 will do all the span, cause it have VR II, which nikon claims it can reduce to 4 stops Depending on how close to the stage you can get, worthy choices would be 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.4 and 80-200 f2.8.

Remember you won't get autofocus unless the lens have a motor in it (AF-S).

85mm f1.4, 135mm f2.0 or 200mm f2.0... assuming that cost is not a limiting factor and you are licensed / authorized to photograph the event. Losing a camera with that type of expensive glass on it is a sure opening to spoil your fun and good attitude.
Unless the concert site say cameras are permitted, you are at risk of having your camera confiscated if you try to bear one in. Most concerts do not licence cameras.

Make sure you know what the policy is.
