Can a battery NB-5L mobile replace my canon NB-1L? Can I upgrade to 1300 mAh from 680mAh? (CANON Powershot s100 digital elph is my camera).

If you hold them side by side and they are exactly indistinguishable size, shape and contact configuration, then conceivably. Only Canon will know for sure ... and know if using a different battery will negated your warranty
