i had a Cannon Powershot A530 but it be lost by a family extremity so im looking into the Nikon but wasn't really sure on its quality. would you recommend it?

yes nikons are good, Id read out nikon or canon are the best in the world, but I other get nikons as they are amazing at taking photos, I have an oldish 5mp and the ability is superb, and they dont seem to break even when you drop them, so yes ego recommend nikons.
I used a nikon L10 that kicked (at)ss for human being only $100. Nikon have always be a quality product I don't see why this one wouldn't be any upright. It is a great little camera for the price and will use alike SD cards your old Canon did.
