Im thinking of buying a canon S5IS for my first cam. does anyone hold any input on the cam.?

s5 is is a really nice camera with flawless movie mode and very angelic picture quality. It's a good camera. It have an excellent 12x optical zoom, Image stabilization, full manual controls and a amazingly good movie mode. (My husband have the S3 IS). My main tip is to try and shoot within a low ISO as much as possible (try to avoid the higher ISOs if you can, because commotion will become a real problem). I would also recommend a quick SD memory card (Sandisk Extreme III is excellent). Format it first and and every time after you have uploaded adjectives images to your computer.
