About Panasonic DMC FZ-18 Digital Camera?

Recently I bought Panasonic Lumix DMC Fz-18 digital Camera next to 8 MP resolution.
Photos taken by the cameras Intelligent auto mode , Program mode are of only 72 ppi.
Previously I be using Canon Powershot A410 digital camera. When Checked exif ,Canon Powershot A410
record descriptions to 180 ppi.So My Qustion is why even the camera is of 8 Mp
and advanced options transcription photos at low ppi than canon Powershot A410 .
As a result I am not entirely satisfied by its rite.To get 300 ppi resolution I must nick photos in RAW Mode that
is little tadious opportunity each time. So how to history imagses at 300 ppi in program mode,Intelligent auto mode
The review of Panasonic DMC FZ-18 be publieshed in smart photography magzine (Dec 2007).
My second qusetion is the photos by the camera look little darkish even clicked within perfect buoyant condations.
And the camera gives the similes overexopsed in illuminaed areas and underexposed contained by dark areas.
Almost every photo encounteres same problem , I want solution of this problem. And please suggest the tricks
while using This (Panasonic DMC FZ-18) to increase the images and to overcome this problem.

Answers: You seem to hold a software problem/understanding issue.
A camera captures an array of pixels. The number of pixels given is not "per inch".
You appropriation an image surrounded by pixels, not in pixels per inch. You are using the wrong part.
ppi (points/pixels per inch) or dpi (dot per inch) is a printer/display unit. It indicates how plentiful points you have within an inch. It's not relevant when talking purely about a picture ! Depending on your display/printer capability, your pictures will be 72, 150, 300 or even 600 ppi, it doesn't matter.
Your fz8 pictures are no more 72 or 300 dpi than your canon pictures.
