Which camera have the quickest shot? Im wanting to get a DSRL camera to start
Im wanting to get a DSRL camera to start photography...I want to cram studio photography but I would also like to use the camera for sports, weddings, and home gatherings which will require a in haste shutter time-- example: basketball- you have to rob the pic the same second you see the shot self made...with previous cameras I have problem with a snag in the shot...which is better for what i have need of...Nikon d40 or Canon Rebel...or any other cameras you may recommend. please keep surrounded by mind that im Not rich so i cant spend more then $500 or so on this camera. thankfulness!!

The Mark III has up to ten frames per second I believe.
The Canon Rebel XT near 18-55 lens is my personal choice for your price range. If your friends shoot Nikon, dance with Nikon...if they shoot Canon, dance with canon...that opening you can try out their lenses. At a budget of $500, you are looking at the Nikon D40 with 18-55mm lens.

There are two possibilities for "quickest" shots ... 1) extraordinarily low shutter lag for shooting sports (found on DSLR cameras) or 2) lofty shutter speed ... over 1/1000th second (the D40 can shoot at much higher shutter speeds approaching 1/4000th).
Later as you can save a bit more money, you will want to buy a 70-300mm for shooting field sports.
