A accurate, inexpensive external flash for the Canon Powershot S5?

I find the Speedlite EX series, Canon's proprietary flash, to be quite pricey. Suggestions on possibly priced, after market flashes for the S5? Thnx much...

Answers:    If you can't afford a Canon EX flash, you may try Sunpak auto 383. I use it near my Sony V1. It is only $80. However, it does not support E-TTL. You inevitability to set to a fixed aperture such as f/4.0 and 1/60 sec in brochure mode. The flash will fire with the correct amount of restrained automatically.
