i have a movie that i want to upload to my website. Since the website is slightly narrow, i can solely fit a movie that is roughly speaking 300 pixels wide. Now my request for information would be, what about the hight? how can i breed it so that it maintains its 16:9 pixel ratio?

Make a proportion 300/16 = x/9, solve it for x?

Let's multiply both sides by 9:
2700/16 = x,

so x = 2700/16,

which makes x=168.75.

Round it to nearest integer, and you grasp 169 pixels.
