Memory for digital SLR? Is a Microdrive fast satisfactory to be usable in

Is a Microdrive fast satisfactory to be usable in a DSLR? CF cards come within different speeds whereas the microdrive has 1 speed as far as I know. By 'efficient enough' I mean comparable to a fully clad CF card.
Answers:
I be using a 2GB Hitachi Microdrive, it was much slower than my Sandisk Extreme111 when shooting at 6fps or faster, it be also very sensitive to knock so I was constantly drowsy of bumping my camera during writes, stick to CF cards..
I doubt if many photographers truly use microdrives these days...because they're slower than elevated speed CF cards.
If you want 'fast' and reliable, look at Sandisk Extreme III or IV or the Lexar Pro series CF cards...to name a few. A microdrive by definition is much slower than a solid state CF card. There is a big race for faster and faster write speeds on CF cards, so I deliberate the microdrive may be on the way out.

If you are not shooting using the camera at its unmatched continuous rate (4fps or faster) but more like the speed you might shoot a prevailing conditions format film camera, a microdrive will be fine... most DSLR cameras will adopt them
