(UK question) I inevitability to bring my orang phone to a shop to get hold of it unlocked to adopt an O2 sim.How do they do it

I think they use codes, but don't salary too much. we had ours done at our local marketplace for lb5....orange tried to bring back us to pay lb20 for them to do it!! its a small usb lead at hand plug into there own computer, be there own the soft ware,and it unblock`s most phones, market place,or your local mobile shop. or better still buy the soft ware of ebay do it yaself.dont reimburse no more then lb5-10. because its assured job. and here shouldnt cost lot`s. u can also have it unlocked to eny net-work,preference is better still incase you change your mind again. and its still duplicate price.:) hope tht was a bit helpfull.ere is a site u might find use-full if u would like to start unlocking phones ya self for friends ect....lb5 a phone u will soon grasp your money bck.lol.http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk. good-luck
depends what concerned of phone it is, if its a nokia usualy they just type a code into it and it unlocks it but if its a sony ericsson they use a special cable call a cruser cable, if its a samsung they clip a little box into it and it unlocks it dont earnings more than lb10 to unlock a phone! most little mobile phone shops will do unlocking services, also theres not much point leaving ginger o2's call competence is worse and your battery wont later as long as it usualy does due to o2 phones pumping out twice the ammount of watts (radiation)
I don't know where on earth you are in the UK, but you'll find loads of places offering phone unlocking, cyber caf¨¦, market stalls, independent computer shops etc.
All they do is connect your phone to a box of tricks that runs a program that overrides the locking codes that Orange own had programmed within.
It doesn't damage the phone, it in recent times returns it to its original factory settings, depending on the type of phone, expect to clear between lb5 - lb15.
