I just get a refurbished phone as a replacement in the correspondence, so far no problems. They completely redo the phone, the race that I know that have gotten one haven't have any problems either.
most of the time a refurbished phone is better than new...they worked out adjectives the kinks...I've have a couple and didn't get the problems most associates experienced. They're EXACTLY impossible to tell apart, if not better. It looks brand unsullied, it acts brand strange.
I worked for AT&T for 2 years and people have more problems with the investigational phones then the refurbished ones a short time ago because the new phones didn't really own that "test drive" to know what worked and what didn't on that hard to please phone.
If you're debating whether or not you should pay the extra for the contemporary phone, DON'T. GO WITH THE REFURB. I had a refurbished Blackberry Pearl until I be eligible to upgrade and then upgraded to the unmarked Blackberry Curve and they both work amazing!
