How to unlock a cingular cell phone, so that at&t may be used on it ?

You can't. Each phone is made for one service provider, and lone that service provider.
Try asking the phone company, otherwise it won't work because that is the companie's phone!
Sometime in malls they hold little cell phone kiosk and they may be able to unlock phones and its usally $35 and also try ebay they sometimes enjoy unlock codes for like $7..hope this help...oooooooooooo wait isnt Cingular at&t very soon? i think so ...you might want to check that out For starters you will need a T-mobile sim card, you can borrow one from a friend, any t-mobile sim card should work, you'll solitary need to borrow it for a few minutes, so pop it surrounded by your phone, turn it on and:
1) Go to the Main Screen and press the menu key
2) type contained by 073887*
When it asks for the security code type 000000 and consequently press OK
Then to unlock the sim you will have to enter your sim card number, after press OK, then press the END push button. Then your phone will be unlocked.
my bad, those instructions be for unlocking a t-mobile phone to at&t, a cingular one should be fine.
