Is my iPhone doomed??!? I got an iPhone from a friend from china,
I got an iPhone from a friend from china, after I updated it on iTunes and now it's locked because "The SIM isn't supported"
I hear it's called "Bricking" which routine that my iPhone is now a short time ago a brick. Useless.
Am I doomed now? Can I unlock it? Please! I dont mind slightly hacky methods :D

press the button on the top and the button on the front on the bottom at the same time hold them for more or less 7-10 seconds this will rest your phone.
iPhone clone = doomed (lesson learned: good a few bucks; rarely, save you a few bucks).
iPhone from Apple: still under warranty... help yourself to it to the nearest Apple Store for assistance, easy peasy.

iPhone from China = not made by Apple...yes you are DOOMED...should of just bought a authentic Apple from ebay or the Apple store....
or you can also try to "jailbreak" it to unlock it I dont know going on for an iPhone from China but try holding down the center button on the bottom of the front of the iPhone and the button on the top. It will boot up in repossession mode. Then connect it to iTunes to recover its untested settings. Then go to Ziphone.com and down nouns it. Follow the steps and you wil be able to jailbreak and unlock your phone to any sim.

all right i dont know about iphone but surrounded by sony ericsson phones i use patches to solve ths error.or i should progress and register it
