MY FREIND KNOWS SOME GUY THAT CAN SWITCH ANY VERIZON PHONE TO METRO...
IS THAT ALSO POSSIBLE THREW CINGULAR...
AND HOW DOES THAT WORK?
Answers:
Nope - That Cingular SLVR is running on different technology (GSM) than MetroPCS (CDMA).
If you look at the Cingular SLVR, you use a SIM card. This card give you the power to swap phones by taking the card and putting into other unlocked GSM phones.
CDMA - you need a entity to activate it usually. No SIM cards are used. Sorry Sorry but there is no possible approach to make a Cingular/ATT phone compatible for use next to metropcs.
MetroPCS cellular network is CDMA and Cingular/ATT is GSM. The technology's the phones use are different and here is no way to covert GSM technology to work near CDMA. The reason your friend can do it near the Verizon phone is that Verizon and Metro are both CDMA
