i have a nokia 5300 and ive downloaded loads of video off limewire they work on window media player but when i put the on my phone through the usb organize it doesnt work it say corrupt folder ??

Because they dont enjoy avi player, check video file format it may be unsupported!

MPEG or AVI Videos wont work on your phone (even 80% phones doesnot support those formats).
The singular two video formats that MOST PHONES can run are .3gp and .mp4 (3GP is more Common and ur phone only supports 176x144 px resolution only)
