2 question lg viewty signal / O2 simplicity? I have in recent times upgraded my phone on

I have in recent times upgraded my phone on orange to the LG viewty but i am have great difficulty with the signal. Even places where on earth my old phone get great signal this phone is getting minimal. I have tried putting the sim rear legs into my old phone to see if this is the phone or not and my prehistoric phone works fine. My first question is have anyone else had this problem?

One solution i've thought of is getting an O2 simplicity sim for the phone. The O2 signal surrounded by our area is great and so i thought if possibly it was a specified problem with the phone - not picking up signal as in good health as other phones - going onto a network beside a stronger signal would help. My second quiz is, does the O2 simplicity sim cards support 3g?

Thanks for your help :)
Answers:

mine gets great signal, if I be you I would take posterior to shop and have it checked x Hi here,
Firstly, although the Viewty is a great phone, LG's and Samsungs just do not achieve as much reception as say Nokias or Sonys. I work for a phone shop and trade and work with adjectives brands daily.
That isnt to vote though that the phone might not be with out blemish. Take it back to the shop and ask to put your SIM contained by to another, new one to see if it give the same signal carrying out of the one you have.

You reasoning to swapping networks is obedient though and could be the better option.
I can confirm that ALL O2 contract SIMs are 3G variant, however you still may need to ring the provider to 'activate' the 3G service on the SIM.

Simplicity is great, but beforehand (if you do) take the plunge, check what the T-Mobile signal is close to in your nouns and if it's good after look on the T-Mobile website and check out their SIM only deal. I think you'll find they are more than competative compared to O2.
Also to affix that i use T-Mobile myself currently and their 3G coverage is much wider than that of O2. Second only to the 3 net. I used my phone for mobile net an awful lot and that be why went for T-Mobile.
....lol, lastly.... if you DO intend to do alot of browsing on the phone after the Viewty doesnt have a great network browser imo, if its not too late see if you could possibly exchange to a Nokia N95?

Good luck.
