what actually are they? i hold read thrupugh many answers but cant really find out. I know they can receive u online but how do they work? i know the mobile networks three, vodafone and t-mobile do they but do u need to be beside their network to hold one i.e do u need ur sim card? im next to o2 so im unsure as to whether to get one. also what is the best merit one?

It's a dongle that allow's you to stir onto the internet using the mobile network so no inevitability for a landline they are available on contract and PAYG but it is better value to attain one on contract most networks offer a 24mnth contract for around lb15 a month but as far as I'm aware one and only T-Mobile do not charge you if you go over your allowance (they only send you a memorandum advising you to be aware of your usage)
They are usb dongles that you plug into a spare usb port on your laptop - today they come pre-loaded with software that installs automatically when you first plug surrounded by your usb modem. The SIM card is included. There are pay as you budge options such as 3's
