Is in attendance any opening to bypass the restriction access code on a phone? My phone died and my sis had a free

My phone died and my sis had a free phone she have gotten from renewing her contract. She said that I could have it but it won't work beside my sim card. Is there any opening to get around that?
Answers:  It depends on the type of phone, and the mover you both have.

If you both hold the same GSM delivery service (AT&T/T-Mo) then it'll be simple, only just switch off the sim card.
If you own the sim card from one carrier and the phone is from the other, next you will have to unlock it.
If the phone is from Verizon/Sprint/Nextel or another possessor besides AT&T or T-mobile, then the phone isn't physically experienced of accepting a sim card.

If you have to unlock your phone, it will depend on the description of phone you have. Nokias own it easiest since it's done by a code, just google "nokia unlock code calculator".

Other brands won't enjoy it so easy, some might require you buying a facts cable from ebay, downloading some software and putting it in yourself, and here are some companies who provide software to do it for you (for a charge).

http://www.gsmliberty.net have links to the nokia calculator, and services the tools needed to unlock other phones for you (expect it to be around $25).

and http://www.howardforums.com/ if you're more of a do it yourselfer and don't mind the extra work, and buying a data cable.
