Sometimes beside the wireless adapter the connection lags, next to the ethernet cord it is more consistent. The wireless adapters signal can be messed up by random stuff. Trust me you dont want it to fill during online play, it sux when it does in nimbus 3.

I am not sure why you laptop is cause issues are you running them both through the same router? and if so is your laptop doing something severely bandwidth heavy on-line? that would be the solitary way I know of for your laptop to produce problems and if this is the case as long as you laptop and xbox are running bad the same Internet nouns you will see the problem. But in-terms of what runs faster wireless or wired, the short answer is wired, but as long as you have a wireless g router you should not see a difference. I do not know if the 360 is wired for n wireless (which might be faster than the wire)
