XBox 360: Difference within Power Supply Connectors? I just purchased an XBox 360 past its sell-by

I just purchased an XBox 360 past its sell-by date ebay. Seemed like other, Falcon mobo, BenQ drive, etc. For some reason the connector that runs from the power supply to the 360 will not fit. In looking at the connector: the XBox (female) side have a plastic post or stud between the top and bottom middle prongs. The cord (male) side has a plastic moulded tab contained by the same place. I'm guessing the the tab is hitting the post and disallowing the connector to be plugged contained by.

Before I climb in some poor guy's grill for ripping me sour, I need to know if there's something I'm doing wrong, or if at hand are different supply connectors for the 360. The label on the brick indicates it's a 175W ("Falcon") PS, I own no clue why it won't fit the XBox. Please advise. Thanks!
