1080p resolution problem next to Xbox 360? I have an Xbox 360 connected to a Sony

I have an Xbox 360 connected to a Sony Bravia (forgot the model) HDTV that supports 1080p, I enjoy an earlier equals Xbox 360 core version next to no HDMI port, I have the console connected to the TV via component cable, the problem is, when I select 1080p as my display resolution, the screen get all garbled up only like how it does when you travel from an SD channel to an HD furrow, except it sticks until it resets back

I own selected my resolution as 1080i in need a problem and I am fine with that, but it still puzzles me why I can't seize 1080p

Don't say it's because I am using component cable, because if that was the problem, I construe that the 1080p option wouldn't be nearby or would be grayed out, and I know that component CAN support 1080p
Answers:

Component on the 360 cable do NOT support 1080p, the highest resolution that hd component cable support is 1080i. The only cable on the souk right now that supports 1080p is hdmi, and since you own the older xbox 360 console hdmi is not an selection at least right in a minute, so your highest resolution support or your current console is going to be 1080i Technically, component cables/technology is able to support 1080p and you are correct, I do believe the 360 is competent to output 1080p via component... the problem is many other devices such a frequent television sets (like possibly your Bravia) lone support up to 1080i via component. 1080i via component is pretty standard but 1080p is not.

If this is the case, adjectives hope for 1080p is not necessarily lost yet though. Does your Bravia transpire to support VGA (computer) inputs? If it does, you can purchase a VGA capable for the 360, which does support 1080p as capably as various other computer/tv resolutions. Since adjectives computer displays are progressive the TV is sure to take progressive input via any computer inputs. Also, is your TV Full 1080p (1920 x 1080) or does it hold a lower "native resolution"? In such a skin, setting the VGA output resolution to whatever that "local resolution" is would be your best option.. regardless if you can crank it up to 1080p. If you want to provide the exact model for your set I can double check the stats for your if you want.
