ok im ready to buy a clean pc but i want it to be for pure gameing.. approaching i want it to run games like AoC immensely smothly... also people say aloud the best thing is to build your own workstation but i truly have not the slightest notion of what they mean or how to do it. Many ppl communicate me that alien ware and falcon computers are the best for gameing but b4 i go an spen 7000$ i want 2 be sure!
Answers:
any PC that has a core2duo processor, a 4gb strike and a 8800 GT card can play the latest games smoothly..similar to crysis, call of duty 4, gears of time of war, bioshock and many more... believe me a 1000$ computer will do ^^

dont conjecture of gettin the best coz evry month therll be a new better hardware available :P
Alienware computers are great. I love computer gaming. For about $2000 you could catch a good one.

you know mac pro's are outstandingly good, but next you have to bring back something to run window's on it but thats only 80 dollars. Like on the mac pro grasp 512mb of graphics 2 3.0quad core. Or get the alien-ware crossfire X their fitting for gaming too.
Mother Board: Asus P5k3 Deluxe.
Chipset: Intel P35 Chipset.
Processor: Intel Core 2 Extreme (Quad Core) QX9650 3.20 GHZ L2 Cache 4MB.
CPU Cooler: Asus Arctic Square Cooler.
Ram: 3x DDR3 (1066) 1GB.
Hard Disk: 500GB 9000RPM SATA2.
Video Card: Asus PCI-E-EN9600 Top-1GB(Duel GPU).
Sound Card: Asus Xonar 9 Channel.
ADSL Modem: 2 Mbps.
Disk Driver: CD+DVD RW "Light Scribe" + Bluray-RW.
Screen: LG 20Ħħ Widescreen LCD.
Don't spend $7,000!

You can build (or enjoy a computer tech build it for you) a PC for under $2,000 that match those overpriced computers. They are not worth the money. In the end you want the following things.

CPU: Intel Q9300 Yorkfield OEM
Heatsink for CPU: Scythe Ninja
Motherboard: Intel P38 Chipset. Or nvidia nforce 750i chipset
RAM: At lowest 2Gig (name brand is good)
Sound card: Sound Blaster X-Fi (do NOT use on-board sound)
Video card: nVidia GeForce 8800GTS 512MB
Case: Anything by Antec is good
Power supply: Corsair brand is obedient. 600Watts is perfect for these components.

You probably will spend around $1,000 for that configuration. If you print that out and afford it to a local computer shop they can give you a resounding price. I did not include an Operating System, it is very subjective. Right in a minute Vista Home Premium will probably be your best buy.

The most important entity is to tell them you want pet name brand parts, not generic stuff. Specifically the name brands timetabled for each division. Alienware is the one and solely company to go to for the best gaming pcs ever created. term.
First of all, don't walk with Alienware. They're WAY overpriced.

Some guy suggested a Mac Pro. I love mac, but I close-fisted dropping that much just to hobby is unnecessary, you're better off next to a PC.

I suggest checking out Cyberpower:

Their prices are great, and so are they. Now of course, it's not going to be as cheap as building it yourself, but seeing as you said you don't know how to build one, this is probably your best bet.
You can retribution less than $1500 for a super awesome system that will play crysis at max settings. Get:

2 x 8800GT 512 MB
Intel Core2Duo E8500
A righteous power supply (700 watts or more)
An sli motherboard

And then adjectives the other parts should fall into place. 2GB Ram should be fine, suitcase, hard drive, etc.
