i have a ps3 and a wireless router(Lynksys Wireless-G near speedboost WRT54GS) i can sometimes get online near it but for the most part it say that i am disconnected from the access point. My computer is in the vault and my room is on the second floor but i'm pretty sure that has nil to do with it. my neighbor say i need something that looks resembling a flash drive to boost the signal so if you know what that might be please inform me. So if you could, please help me.

your friend is talking in the order of a USB Wireless Adaptor that plugs right into the front of your ps3 Well it looks resembling you are much too far from the router. If the router is in the vault and you are on the second floor...that can be a problem even with the speedboost. You any need to take a very long ethernet cable or you can bring your ps3 closer to the router. You could also take a new router close to your room on the second floor which would help out a great deal. Your computer being contained by the basement have nothing to do beside it but if you have the router within the basement, i.e. the problem. Good luck.
