20% nouns? my house doesnt have internet because we are switching
my house doesnt have internet because we are switching to verizon. im dying because i havent played ps3 online for 2 days!! im trying to connect to my neighbor's router and its a 20% nouns... right now im on my laptop connected to their router but my ps3 cant connect to it. it say IP address: succeeded, internet connection: succeeded but playstation netowork fail... why is that? is 20% connection too shabby?

I think the problem is that for online internet you can hold any speed but for Playstation Network SONY says you can hold a minimum of broadband connection, vote you neighbor is paying for 8MB broadband, there is no mode you are going to get that, if you live surrounded by a city you are most likely to own about merely 2MB per second, 100% would then be 2MB but just 20% would be about 0.4MB and the SONY say for playstation network you hold to have broardband and to be precise minimum 1MB so you would have smaller amount than half the speed you stipulation. Sorry if this sounds complicated but I think this is what is going on, to fix this I own heard that the PS3 get a better signal if you place it upright, aswell you could place the PS3 around tin foil, I know this sounds odd but it might amplify the signal.

it a firewall i know my router have one and it prevent anyone from using my wireless internet so if they don't care you could jump ask them to turn it off and after you should be good to stir and 20% is ok but it not enough to progress online gaming.sorry! I had equal problem. For me, it was a firewall problem. I enjoy a wireless cable modem, and one of the things that I could do was set up a firewall on my cable modem. Which is what I did. Anyway, to acquire on PSN and play online on the PS3, I have to turn sour my cable modem's firewall.
You'll probably have to ask your neighbor to turn bad their firewall if you want to use their connection.
