When i connect my PS3 to my modem via a router. My internet connection audition is only picking up my IP address. But powerless to establish a Internet connection. What is going wrong?

its basically that the ps3 is rubbish lol Does your internet require you to log on?

For example, if I configure my PS3 to my campus Wifi, it will procure an IP address, but it cannot connect to the internet until I sign on using the browser. Perhaps it's something like that. Is your router sign on password protected?
