Playstation 2 that plays merely blue discs? my son wants to spend his pocket money on
my son wants to spend his pocket money on a p22 he have seen contained by the local paper...the purveyor wrote in the advert that it with the sole purpose plays blue discs and not silver ones?
Our daughter has a ps2 aswell adjectives her games are silver is it worth buying or not as we want them to share games?

buy it and take it fixed or stay away. most of the PS2's games are on silver discs, and since this one will only play blue, it's not worth it unless you fix it. playing solitary blue leaves you pretty limited within the games you can play. if your daughter has silver, consequently they can't share games (obviously) unless it gets fixed. I vote help your son buy a refurbished one from GameStop or some place close to it (not places like Best Buy. actual GAME stores).
My son have a ps2 and his plays the blue and the silver.most of the games are silver' but a few are blue not many though If the console is out of warranty, Sony has a standard repair and exchange payment of about US$60 or $70.
You transport in the defective console and you return with a refurbished fully working one.
If the selling price combined with the repair cost are significantly lower than a contemporary PS2, then turn ahead and buy it.
Otherwise, keep away.
Not playing abiding types of games is most likely a sign that the PS2's laser is starting to wear. It is possible that the lens is merely dirty and that a DVD lens cleaner will fix the issue, but usually its just the laser (depending on how elderly the console is).
I would recommend buying a new, or effective new PS2. That agency you can always return it to the store or dispatch it to Sony if it doesn't work properly.
Also, if you have the money you could attain the 80gb PS3. It plays most PS2 games as well as PS3 games and bluray movies. It is much more expensive, but I find that its worth it.
