I dont know if its the ps3, the tv, or my component cable. Do i have to buy a strange cable or something or what?. SOMEBODY HELP ME. IM A PS3 JUNKIE AND THIS IS NOT GOOD.

Maybe you have the display settings set wrong. That's adjectives I can think of... Try holding the ps3 power button for 5-10 secs, you should hear a beep, it should reset to the evasion video settings...
