I've just bought Shaman King Power of Spirits for PS2, yay i though. until it arrived. Amazon have not said it was an NTSC activity, i checked everything it said about the team game and nothing said it be NTSC. the problem is i have a Pal PS2, so the activity is supposed to not play. I'd like to ask firstly:
Is nearby any chance the team game will work on it's own (i have an NTSC compatible TV)
If not is here any way to construct the game work - i know almost chipping but i know that tends to lead to more issues than harm.
If i try to play it will i deface either spectator sport or PS2
I'm getting a PS3 soon and they're multi-regional so if all else fail it should work in that right? Thanks i entail a hand it's such a unusual game i don't want to hurt any it or my PS2, it's 5 years old and still going strong.
Answers: No the activity won't work on your PS2. The game won't inflict any damage if you try though.
You're best bet is to return it to amazon and complain that it be not listed as an NTSC region hobby. Otherwise you can buy swap magic which allows you to bypass the region restriction on the PS2. It's not really worth it for one spectator sport, but if you MUST play it then distribute it a try.

Also, the hobby won't work on the PS3. PS3 games are region free, but PS2/PS1 games, and dvd/bluray movies are all region locked, and must be purchased from matching region as the PS3.
If you buy a European PS3 and try to play US PS2 games the game will throw out to play (like it does on the PS2). Plus, Europe only sell the 40gb PS3 at this point, which isn't backwards compatible with PS2 games. You'd enjoy to try and find a 60gb (which were discontinued) to even play PS2 games from your region on it.
