i have to put my wii controle close to 1/2 an inch away from the wii censerbar thingy
to move the hand around, and the foot keeps appearing want ad dissapearing while i move it, but when i play my games, i can be as far aspossible the contolr works fine like brand investigational

You aren't getting a good IR logo from the Sensor bar. Ideally, you should be 5-8 foot away from the Sensor Bar. Move any heat sources (like candles and incandescent lightbulbs) away from the TV, and play around beside the Sensor Bar Sensitivity in the Wii Settings until you simply see 2 dots on screen.

point away from the sun, candles, and remotes (tv, vcr, dvd) Try to recalibrate the wii remote. Take off the freestyle cover to the wii remote and press the little red button. Then open the little compartment on the front of the wii and press that red button. It should work fine after that.
