Hey get a ps3 and a hdtv next to hdmi ability but i be wondering what cable i should attain? my tv supports up to 720p (yeah kinda sucks
my tv supports up to 720p (yeah kinda sucks it doesnt go to 1080i but oh well) it also supports the hdmi, s-video, and optical, pretty much adjectives cable types. basically i be wondering if theres one thats better than the other, like hdmi over the others or vice versa. also i be wondering if you could list the pricing for the better one. and should i buy sony brand cable or do you reflect the cheaper brands will do?

yeah any hdmi cable will do...walmart has them for close to 20 bucks but you should get the shortest one possible as the longer ones will start to loose the signal and will not be as crisp ....dont stir any longer than 6ft if possible
adjectives hdmi cables are matching no matter the cost. go and get the cheapest one u can find. and 1080i and 720p look very similiar. u might even chew over 720p is better anyways
any HDMI will work man, regardless of it individual cheap or expensive. The cable WILL STILL produce up to 1080p. Well my tv is also 720p, and actually, 720p is better because it have 720 lines across. 1080i is "interlaced" so it only have 540 lines. 720p is better for fast act stuff like FPS games and race.

go and get a HDMI cable you can get them at monoprice.com for 6.55 thats what i did and my tv merely supports up to 720p but it can take up to 1080i thats what my PS3 say when you look in here it says 1080i anyways travel to that website and get you a HDMI cable

HDMI is the best cable you can go and get. I wouldn't get the cheapest you can find, but don't travel crazy and buy monster cables. You should be capable of find some for around $20 or less. http://www.newegg.com is a apt place for cheap electronics. You can read customer reviews to see if the cable is worth the money (or if its just too cheap to function properly). With shipping costs you may basically want to check your local electronics store though.
Optical is for sound merely and S-video is not nearly as good as HDMI. You could obtain Component cables instead of HDMI, but HDMI is the best nearby is (and you can usually find cheap HDMI cables anyway).
