You will be fine. The PS3 is an extremely reliable system and have a very small damp squib rate. If you can get other on it then grasp a used one.
Firstly, even if you enjoy warrenty, if your console is spoilt. Sony will not charge service charge ONLY. Faulty parts will required you to pay for it.

So do take on in mind if you are getting a refurnished ps3. will at hand be any problem in the furture. Even if they supply you warrenty, I means you will be wavied of for service charge individual. Make sure what you are getting is a good working condition. best luck. :p
The 60GB PS3's are tremendously reliable and a refurbished PS3 should be pretty reliable because all of the PS3's are reliable contained by general.

I've have my 60GB PS3 since launch and I've never had any problems near it. Plus, if you get the 60GB PS3, you wont enjoy to worry more or less Backwards compatibility issues with PS1 and PS2 games because it have the Emotion Engine chip.

If you want the PS3 bad ample, then I right to be heard go ahead and buy it. And, a used 60GB PS3 at Gamestop should be a pretty honourable price as well and you can't lick that.
1st thing is, 60gb's are sturdy to get immediately because they don't sell them any longer
And its best to bring in sure its refurbished
And yes you can trust it won't brake..
Sony is a good brand and if it does break you can basically ring sony OR just return it
you'll be surprised at how reliable the PS3 is. i enjoy one and i leave it overnight sometimes so that my downloads can finish, and it works faultlessly. i'd say catch the used one. the only impossible thing roughly speaking this is that you wont have the knack to say "i own a brand new PlayStation 3". so i repeat myself - the PS3 is EXTREMELY reliable. Sony is a lofty end brand so it have a low risk of breaking. It could happen but unlikley. I would progress with the extended protection plan if you do seize used just contained by case. Keep an eye on the systems for wierd clicks when reading the disc as this can be a very serious problem. Also the PS3's low dead loss rate vs the 360 is very correct. Also remember that the 60gb hard drive can be slickly swapped out for a larger one up to 250I think. I could be wrong on the size.
i would merely get a brand unsullied 40 gig for 399 and dont buy a used ps3 i no everyone say oh its fine but just go and get the 40 for 399 they should have a 40 see there for 349.99 spend 50 more bucks and acquire it brand new you wont own to worrie about anything i lately got my ps3 yesteday and im already haveing to purloin it back to gamestop and geting another unknown one this one was brand bright but was giveing me a disk read error and the cd drive sounded close to it was going to die so merely think in the order of it thats alot of money to be playing with.
definitely buy it and buy the 250 see hard drive. i get a western digital hard drive and i swear it s quieter than the innovative 60 gig
