I have a wireless controller that eat up battery's...I'm thinking about buying a charger plug+play entity or whatever it's call... but I've heard that after so various charges they really don't do anything...Would it be a waste if money to buy the charger or merely keep buying battery's...

No!, i bought a xbox 360 charger thin approaching that and it works after many charges iv used mine more or less 30 or 40 times and it works great, so in the long run it would be cheaper to buy the charger!
All rechargeable batteries die after a long extent of being used. It is not merely with the XBOX 360 Play and Charge Kit. Do doesn`t matter what you want. i enjoy a xbox 360 controller too and i have the rechargeable mobile pack and i have the recharger that plugs into the usb outlet thats surrounded by the front of the 360, i suggest getting that one cause you can charge and still play. and for what youve hear about after so plentiful charges it doesnt do anything that happens to every battery-operated after a while, but for me ive had to same one ever since i get the 360 which has be about a year, so ive have no problems so far.
