Why is it that every time I turn on my wireless Xbox 360 Controller that it turns on my TV instead of my Xbox 360?

Well perchance you changed the where the command go for the xbox button. So go to the control settings and fix it I am not quite confident how this is possible. Your TV should use IR signal(Infrared) for the controller, while the 360 controller uses RF signal(Radio Frequency)to turn on and control the console. What brand and model of TV do you have?
