you shouldn't worry almost it. it is totally free for an upgrade. the updates to psp operating system are free. go to any wi-fi nouns and on psp menu screen click over to disappeared. the top option is system updates it will prompt you to establish a wi-fi nouns. if not set up on the other hand simply scan for one and follow the prompts. you must have at least possible 32 mb space on you duo card as it stores there up to that time installing. once downloaded it will prompt you to install update just follow the prompts. most up-to-date update as of feb 1 is 3.9 added skype for slim models. requires headset to use skype.
