My bro have a samsung vcr this is what it looks like:

So he used to own the remote that went to it, but it get lost. so he went and bought this "universal" remote by "RCA":

And it said that is to say can be used on samsung.
So we went go to try it out with the battery in it and it didnt work on it? I call for to know how to get it to work on it!
We own a manual, but it have nothing that have to do when you're in a situation resembling this? What should I do?

that remote is made for tv's near dvr boxs Well, their should be a code somewhere surrounded by the manual. It should hold a list of brands, similar to "Sony, Samsung, etc" and under respectively brand name, some number codes. They will right to be heard something like "Press the menu button twice, hold it for 4 second, and then enter (code here)". Good luck!
