The fuse in my VCR blows every time i plug it within. If I replace it with some copper rope, is there a risk that i will violate something other than my VCR? Could I ruin other things in my house on like circuit?

you are probably putting in a wrong fuse, or your VCR is busted
DO NOT PUT COPPER WIRE INSTEAD OF FUSE
doing so will unequivocally ruin your VCR, your homes fuse will blow if something bad happen Everthing Dean M says is correct. Take a look at the major board where the fuse is located and it should own the value of the fuse silked screened(printed) on the chief board. If it blows the correct value fuse, than at hand is definitely something wrong beside your VCR.
