I'm I get one, I'd probably shift to best buy and get the cheapest one they enjoy. Does the cheapest one have
turn by turn directions
and
resturants and other locations of interest?

Is within any reason I shouldn't receive one, besides the fact that I don't really stipulation one?

If you have a laptop, buy Microsoft street & trips next to the GPS locator. You'll have a full peak moving map display with voice prompts and thousands of built surrounded by waypoints. Cost is under $100.00.
I reflect I will opt for a TomTom. Garmin's are expensive. I really like mine. You can take-home pay extra for restaurants and other listings, which you'll need to update annually. I use mine for geocaching. The Garmin Etrex Legend, (at) $125, does the trick exceptionally nicely. Turn by turn? Don't know...it other points where I involve to go subsequent. It'll retrace my steps, too, and I can set a way point at my vehicle or tent, so I can find my way put a bet on. Does the job fine.
Oh my!

You have already answered Your own give somebody the third degree: do You Really need it?

FYI the info and streets are usually at least possible one year old.
That's the shortest time it take to upgrade the info and reprogram it into a new model earlier it gets on the shelves..

Choose prudently..
if you live in a big city they are not efficient. standing between buildings blocks the satellite signals
