oh so how do you find a satallite. How do you know when you have found one. I dont judge i have found one because whenever i turn myn on it say im someware that im not. So how do i find one? i just get it today and need relief!
Answers: Actually, the unit requirements to find at least 3 satellites to carry a location fix. On some of the other units, they own a satellite page that allows you to see what satellites you have locked up, unfortunatly, this is not included on the Nuvi. The just thing that you can move about by is the bars at the upper departed side of the screen.
There is no opening to tell the part to find the satellite, it just does it automatically. You do enjoy to initialize the unit next to the satellite data by have it outside in a clear sky nouns for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Also, the signals from the satellites are not unadulterated strong, so don't expect it to recieve enough of a signal inside your home. The different chipsets are much more sensitive, but the signals don't have unadulterated good access.
