How can I connect my VCR to DVD recorder? I would like to pocket a couple of VHS's
I would like to pocket a couple of VHS's and transfer them onto a DVD. The DVD recorder is already connected to the TV (all three A/V cable are connected from output DVD recorder to TV input). Now, the problem is, my VCR has an output for two cable: one for video and the other for audio. While my DVD recorder has an input where on earth three A/V cables jump in, what I would approaching to know is how can I connect A/V cables from double output (VCR) to triple input (DVD recorder).

Your VCR seem to have mono audio and your DVD recorder have stereo audio.
The video connection is usually color-coded wan, and you hook from the the video out of the VCR to the video in of the DVD recorder.
The single mono audio out from the VCR (usually color-coded white but sometimes black) can be hooked to the vanished channel input of the DVD recorder (also usually white) which on masses models is a "left/mono" input (usually labeled as such if it has that feature). On models that own this feature, if you hook up to the left/mono input and take off the (red color-coded) right input empty, the vanished input will be sent to both channels. If your DVD recorder does not hold this feature, later the audio will record (and playback) on the vanished channel solely - unless you get a "Y" adapter (one jack within, two plugs out) to split the signal to the two inputs. You can get a "Y" adapter at Radio Shack and most electronics stores and departments. assuming these VHS tape are not commercial tapes here it is. you can use the wan (composite) from he VCR to the yellow IN on the DVD. and the white L-mono OUT from the VCR to the white L-mono IN of the DVD rec.
