how do i introduction the video.ts folder thats on a dvd disc, straight onto my HD and somehow make it into a .mov profile? [or any other video format such as .mp4 and .wma]

you need a dvd ripper to backing you rip the dvd folder (video_ts) into regular video format, take this for example

1) Rip movie to .vob files using DVD Decryptor, DVD Shrink, or something else. These are both available for free.
2) Convert .vob to something else. You'll inevitability DivX converter + any AC3 filter (see link below), or some other software that will bar this conversion.
