is't not that they don't work...they just don't want you to put them into things that you lone use for a small amount of time then store them. They probably do not have satisfactory voltage. If your spin brush uses 2 AA batteries and you use 2 rechargeable battery the voltage is different. 2 AA batteries are 3V. Where as 2 rechargeable AA battery are 2.4V.
